The 3rd ORGATEC TOKYO

The 3rd ORGATEC TOKYO was marked by breathtaking high-level exhibitions filled with originality and innovation. Over 40,000 visitors continuously flocked to the event until the very end, enveloping the venue in an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm. Here, we look back at the highlights of ORGATEC TOKYO 2024.

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony of ORGATEC TOKYO 2024 commenced with a ribbon-cutting by Gerald Böse, CEO of Koelnmesse, Masayuki Nakamura, Chairman of the Japan Office and Institutional Furniture Association (JOIFA), Koji Minato, President and CEO of ITOKI Corporation, Hiroyuki Tsukamoto from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Trend Expert, Birgit Gebhardt.

ORGATEC TOKYO Awards

The ORGATEC TOKYO Awards recognise products and booths that embody the concept of "SHIFT DESIGN" through unique concepts, high design standards, and excellent technology. Among all the exhibition booths, the grand prize was awarded to the booth by Karimoku Furniture. The second prizes were awarded to ITOKI, PLUS, and ADAL. Additionally, ten companies received special awards for their outstanding creativity and cutting-edge technology. The newly established "Best Stand Design Award: Chosen by Exhibitors", was proudly received by ITOKI.

Keynote Speech / Trend Forums

A Keynote Speech was delivered by Satoshi Yoshiizumi, representative of TAKT PROJECT, known for his numerous design awards and advanced form expression based on material research. He delved into questions about creative office design proposed by AI and shared deep insights into the true elements required to foster a creative environment. The "Trend Forums" featured three creators active in various creative fields, from urban planning to architecture, spaces, and interiors, captivating the audience.

Xperience Area
